Senior Software Engineer, AI Applications

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-native features by building and integrating LLM-powered systems for extracting, structuring, and reasoning over complex healthcare and benefits data
• Build against AI infrastructure, including retrieval pipelines (RAG), embeddings, prompt orchestration, and internal agent frameworks
• Own end-to-end systems from design, application development, AI integrations and final product delivery
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design and other functions to understand customer workflows and translate them into technical solutions
• Implement evaluation pipelines and benchmarking strategies to measure LLM performance, and design guardrails that enforce safety, accuracy, and compliance thresholds

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating complex applications in production
• Experience integrating AI/LLM-powered systems (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) into real products
• Strong proficiency with modern, object-oriented languages and frameworks (Typescript, Ruby etc)
• Experience with AWS infrastructure or equivalent
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools
• Track record of setting technical direction and influencing engineering standards
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
