Senior Software Engineer (AI Agents)

Responsibilities

• Build production agent systems on frontier LLMs, including tool use, sub-agents, retrieval, and orchestration.
• Design and ship agent harnesses, evals, and model strategies that power Traba's product.
• Own evaluation as a first-class discipline using real traces, rubrics, and experiments to drive improvements.
• Architect the data, services, and APIs required for the agent layer, integrating with customer WMS, TMS, and ERP environments.
• Embed with customers and operators to understand supply chain workflows and translate them into autonomous agent capabilities.
• Codify repeatable deployment patterns to accelerate new customer rollouts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ year of experience shipping LLM- or agent-based features into production.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and data models in PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with the modern agent stack, including prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and orchestration patterns.
• Proven track record of building in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
