Senior Software Development Test Engineer (SDET)

Responsibilities

• Develop, promote, and maintain quality standards and control systems
• Collaborate with developers and engineering managers to establish automation testing best practices
• Build, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and coverage
• Design and execute test plans and test cases for new features
• Perform manual verification of full feature testing across supported devices
• Build out contract testing and contribute to API testing within microservices
• Monitor and analyze the health and performance of automation testing pipelines
• Generate comprehensive test reports and communicate defect metrics to stakeholders
• Participate in planning sessions to coordinate testing activities and prioritize tasks

Requirements

• 7+ years of quality engineering experience testing enterprise software, preferably in a Java/JEE environment
• Experience with Contract Testing and automation using tools like Pact or Postman
• Proven experience testing REST APIs in a microservices environment
• Experience with AWS and testing SaaS applications
• Proficiency in end-to-end automation testing within microservices setups
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD workflows
• Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenSearch or Grafana
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies using tools like Jira and Confluence
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using AI-powered IDEs (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) or LLMs to accelerate test script creation
• Ability to leverage GenAI to transform Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) into comprehensive test plans and edge-case scenarios
• Familiarity with Java or Golang
