Senior Software Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall software development lifecycle, including transforming user requirements into technical specifications and features
• Manage development teams and processes, ensuring high-quality technology applications and services
• Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs while maintaining comprehensive documentation
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault rectification for system components
• Ensure code and configurations adhere to security, logging, error handling, and performance standards
• Evaluate new technologies for ecosystem fit and assess impacts on process, data, and risk
• Lead and mentor interdependent teams, fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous professional development
• Act as a specialist resource to senior leaders, addressing complex and non-routine technical challenges

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in software development and management
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced proficiency in cloud computing and microservices architecture
• Strong expertise in Test Driven Development (TDD) and the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proven software programming skills and experience with applications integration
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system/technology integration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical problem-solving abilities
