Senior Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and architect core backend platforms as part of a globally distributed team
• Create architecture documents, functional specifications, and design documents
• Coordinate end-to-end development, deployment, and testing of new features
• Write reliable, secure, performant, and scalable code
• Perform code reviews and analysis
• Monitor platform performance and participate in on-call rotations
• Work with customer support to address technical issues
• Integrate new technologies into back-end cloud infrastructure

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of software development experience
• Experience with container technologies like Docker
• Experience building highly available and scalable distributed cloud systems
• Strong understanding of multi-threaded applications
• Professional experience in GoLang, Python, C++, or Java
• Proficiency in Linux and Bash scripting
• Experience with Microservices and REST-based HTTP/2 architectures
• Experience with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Mongo/Elasticsearch)
• Knowledge of performance tuning, profiling, and software metrics tools
• Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins
• Proficiency in Agile development methodologies
• Working knowledge of networks and web concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
• Understanding of Network Services including Load-Balancers and Security
• Knowledge of blue/green or canary deployments
• Experience building API-based connectors to cloud-based SaaS services
