About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide second-level support for GlobalLink applications
- Build next-generation infrastructure to support new initiatives
- Diagnose and resolve issues across server, network, database, and storage functional areas
- Provide operational support for Security and Compliance Management
- Execute Change Management tasks in Production, UAT, and lower environments
- Contribute to migration tasks focused on maintainability, performance, and high availability
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with Engineering and Development teams to deliver resilient systems
- Participate in on-call rotations and perform weekend maintenance tasks
Requirements
- 15+ years of IT experience
- Proficiency in scripting and programming with Python, BASH, Ansible, and Terraform
- Strong familiarity with web servers such as Apache or NGINX
- Extensive Linux system administration knowledge, preferably RedHat
- Solid understanding of network concepts including TCP, UDP, Load Balancing, NAT, and Firewalls
- Proven troubleshooting skills from the kernel up to the application and network layers
- Strong experience with AWS cloud automation
- Experience with middleware and messaging technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM WMQ
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD tools and JFROG Artifactory systems
- Knowledge of DevOps tools including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience running and troubleshooting Java applications
