Senior Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive product and design discussions
• Scale payment infrastructure for the Malaysian market
• Shape REST APIs for global developers
• Contribute to open source projects
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, alerting, logging, and automated recovery
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in technology
• Strong product design sense
• Proficiency in PHP, Python, Django, Golang, Java, or C++
• Understanding of end-user requirements and use case formulation
• Good understanding of REST APIs and web technologies
• Ability to build features from scratch to completion
• Experience working at a product company
• Experience with open-source contributions or GitHub side projects
• Knowledge of AI code builders like Cursor or Claude is a plus
