Senior Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion and enrichment
• Own features and system components end-to-end from requirements through production support
• Write efficient, testable code meeting performance and scalability standards
• Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions
• Perform code reviews and provide technical feedback to peers
• Support production systems including deployments, troubleshooting, and incident response
• Apply AI tooling and experiment with LLM-powered capabilities
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data science partners in an Agile environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, predominantly in backend systems
• 5+ years of Java development experience including production microservices
• 4+ years with Spring Boot or Spring Framework
• Strong experience with Kafka or comparable streaming platforms
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch or comparable search platforms
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP
• Proficient in RESTful API design
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts like fault tolerance and eventual consistency
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data ingestion, entity resolution, or deduplication
• Literacy in the AI/LLM space and ability to apply tools pragmatically
• Familiarity with domain-driven design and service-oriented architecture
