Senior Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Go and C++ within distributed cloud environments.
• Design and develop enterprise-grade data-plane components and APIs.
• Drive design reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with product strategy.
• Implement and enhance unit test infrastructure to ensure high-quality software and increased test coverage.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Take ownership of software components, ensuring they meet functional, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Shape cross-team technical direction regarding scalability, security, and observability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of networking software engineering experience (L3/L4/L7, data-path packet processing) in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency in C++ and Golang.
• Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong understanding of the OSI networking stack, including TCP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Solid knowledge of Linux system concepts, including file management, namespaces, process management, and memory management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Gitlab.
• Ability to perform memory and CPU profiling to drive code optimization and refactoring.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
