Senior Software Developer/Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies for software-hardware integration, sensor fusion, and autonomy algorithms within a classified defense environment.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and procedures for interface validation and autonomy module performance.
• Perform manual exploratory, functional, regression, and system-level testing in integration labs and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environments.
• Design and maintain automated test frameworks (UI, API, integration, and performance) to accelerate verification within CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.
• Collaborate with software developers and systems engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment to define acceptance criteria and shift quality left.
• Conduct integration and verification (I&V) activities, including defect triage and root-cause analysis.
• Integrate automated tests into DevSecOps pipelines, including container scanning and model validation.
• Support formal qualification testing, field demonstrations, and operational assessments for unmanned platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Test Engineer.
• Active Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship (ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI is required).
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Willingness to travel 25–50%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or USSOCOM programs, specifically in unmanned systems, autonomy, or AI/ML.
• Background in defense-specific testing environments, such as HWIL or autonomy simulation frameworks.
• Experience with MOSA-based architectures and classified development workflows.
• Certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent Agile testing credentials.
