Senior Software Configuration Manager

Responsibilities

• Establish source code management and configuration management strategies including branching strategies (Git-flow, Trunk-based) and versioning policies (SemVer)
• Manage software lifecycle deliverables such as Change Logs and Release Notes
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment automation
• Operate SCM tools like GitLab and Perforce, including configuration and permission management
• Develop internal automation tools using SCM APIs (e.g., GitLab API) to automate repetitive tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of professional experience in SCM, Build, or Release engineering
• Proficiency in SCM tools such as GitLab or Perforce
• Deep understanding of Git internal structures, rebase, and complex merge conflict resolution
• Experience with automation using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with development and QA teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with configuration management following ISO 26262 or ASPICE standards
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Infrastructure knowledge including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience managing large-scale repositories (Monorepo) or build acceleration (Bazel, Ninja)
• Experience customizing tools using GitLab API
• Experience improving code review processes via Gerrit or Merge Requests
