Senior Social Media Editor

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the senior social media manager to strategize and execute social media presence on platforms like Instagram and TikTok
• Use data and analytics to develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with brand goals
• Deliver pithy, authoritative, and shareable posts to engage the audience
• Engage with and respond to audiences on all platforms
• Create original content series, hashtags, and innovative campaigns
• Analyze and report on KPIs such as engagement rates, impressions, and click-through rates
• Work with editors to align social content with editorial goals and monitor trends
• Collaborate with the video department to produce high-quality social video content
• Manage live social media coverage at events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of social media experience, ideally in media or lifestyle publications
• Strong understanding of social media strategies for traffic growth and engagement
• Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Later, Google Analytics, Sprinklr)
• Proven track record of increasing brand audience through data-driven strategies
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Flexibility to work off-shifts or weekends for live event coverage
• Basic photo, graphic, or video editing skills (Adobe Suite) is a plus
