Senior Social Director

Responsibilities

• Set the overarching social vision across client portfolios to meet business objectives
• Serve as a senior trusted advisor to client stakeholders on social opportunities and risks
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of social specialists
• Identify business growth opportunities and lead pitch preparations
• Evolve VML's social offerings and capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-agency leaders in strategy, creative, and data
• Represent VML's expertise to clients, vendors, and industry groups

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior social leadership role within an advertising agency or major brand
• Proven track record of leading social strategy for large, complex accounts
• Experience building and managing high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen and experience with pitch activity
• Expert-level understanding of social platforms and emerging technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills at senior/board level
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
