About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive physical implementation of advanced high-bandwidth memory (HBM) SoC logic and base die designs from netlist through GDSII
- Support SoC block implementation including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and optimization
- Assist with setup and hold timing closure across multi-mode, multi-corner (MMMC) scenarios
- Collaborate with RTL design, verification, DFT, packaging, and manufacturing teams to deliver optimal PPA
- Integrate complex IP blocks such as controllers, interfaces, MBIST, and PHY-adjacent logic
- Run and debug physical signoff checks including DRC, LVS, and timing signoff
- Participate in tapeout readiness activities, including ECO flows, design reviews, and post-silicon debug
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Innovus, Fusion Compiler, IC Validator, or Calibre
- Solid understanding of static timing analysis (STA) fundamentals and Synopsys Design Constraints (SDC)
- Working knowledge of power intent methodologies including UPF or CPF
- Familiarity with physical verification flows, including DRC, LVS, and parasitic awareness
- Experience with hierarchical physical design and SoC integration methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HBM or DRAM-adjacent SoC designs or memory-subsystem-heavy SoCs
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a physical design or SoC implementation role
- Experience with signal integrity and reliability analysis (IR drop, electromigration) using tools like Ansys
- Proficiency in Tcl or Python for automating physical design checks and flows
