Senior SoC Architect

Responsibilities

• Distill product requirements and their effects on SoC/platform design trade-offs
• Collaborate with processor, SoC and system architects to determine optimal solutions
• Work with silicon design, verification, and hardware engineers to ensure implementation correctness
• Evaluate potential hard and soft third-party IP and liaise with vendors
• Design and specify performant SoC sub-systems and their integrations
• Contribute to silicon bring-up, characterisation, and evaluation activities
• Represent the Silicon Architecture Team within cross-functional working groups
• Implement improvements to infrastructure and processes
• Assist with complex debugging activities
• Mentor engineers with technical queries

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject
• Solid understanding of computer/SoC architecture
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience writing technical specifications
• Knowledge of RTL development and verification processes
• Ability to work across teams and programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical specification of complex silicon SoC devices
• Experience with machine learning or massively parallel computing systems
• Verilog
• Low-level software experience or embedded C
• Knowledge of DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, or on-chip networks
