Senior SMTA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers to baseline and enhance SMT processes to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability
• Establish and enforce Critical to Quality process control monitors and determine manufacturing limits and critical process CpKs
• Review New Product Designs and partner with CM’s to perform DFx and process characterization
• Monitor SMT process data KPI’s on NPI and Mass Production builds
• Plan and execute advanced Research and Development programs and DOE’s
• Work with Contract Manufacturers and ODMs to implement new materials and technologies effectively

Requirements

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Materials Sciences or Chemistry
• 10+ years in PCBA materials and SMTA manufacturing processes
• Extensive expertise in PCBA Technologies and Manufacturing
• Expertise with complex PCB assemblies and Signal Integrity challenges (25 GBPS+)
• Excellent English and Mandarin oral/written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel within the Asia region

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive, Aerospace, and/or Military PCBA/SMT experience
• In-depth knowledge of industry specifications and requirements
• Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and influencing skills
• Hands-on and management experience with SMTA processes
