Senior Skid Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver complete engineering solutions for hygienic separator skids used in Dairy and Pharmaceutical applications.
• Design and develop PFDs, P&IDs, and complete 3D skid layouts, including equipment positioning and hygienic pipe routing.
• Ensure all designs comply with ASME, ANSI, ASME BPE, and internal GEA engineering guidelines.
• Support the Sales team by preparing conceptual P&IDs, preliminary layouts, and technical inputs for proposals.
• Lead detailed engineering during order execution, including developing 3D models, preparing BOMs, and issuing fabrication drawings.
• Adapt global separator skid platforms for the Indian market by optimizing cost and evaluating local manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure production meets GEA’s quality and hygiene standards.
• Prepare technical documentation including instrumentation specifications and materials of construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience specifically in designing hygienic skids for Dairy or Pharmaceutical applications.
• Strong experience with separator skids or similar hygienic process and rotating-equipment-based skids.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or CADISON.
• Solid understanding of hygienic piping, CIP/SIP concepts, and instrumentation integration.
• Deep knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, ANSI, and ASME BPE.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with global teams and local manufacturing partners.
