Senior Site/Field Geologist

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and interpret geological and geotechnical investigations including surface mapping, borehole logging, and rock mass classification
• Provide geological input to the design of dams, tunnels, underground caverns, and powerhouses
• Deliver on-site geological support during excavation, tunnelling, and foundation preparation
• Support and supervise foundation treatment and ground improvement works such as grouting and seepage control
• Prepare and review geological and geotechnical reports including GDR, GIR, and GBR
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, and structural engineers and liaise with contractors and drilling teams
• Ensure all geological activities comply with HSE requirements and international standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Geotechnology, Earth Science, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in geology or geotechnical engineering
• Specific experience in dams, hydropower projects, and underground works or tunnelling
• Proven experience in verifying site conditions against design assumptions and identifying geotechnical risks
• Familiarity with international and regional geological investigation standards
• Experience in Southeast Asia or similar geological settings is an advantage
• Professional level English ability
