Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and operational excellence for production systems
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
• Build tooling to increase engineering team effectiveness and automate operational toil
• Establish on-call rotations and runbooks
• Ensure platform stability within a regulated, high-stakes financial environment
• Spend 50%+ of time writing code for infrastructure tooling and reliability improvements

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering
• Experience working within a mature SRE team (not a solo role)
• Proven on-call experience in large-scale production environments
• Deep expertise in AWS (ECS, RDS, networking, security)
• Strong experience with declarative infrastructure (Terraform, CDK, or similar)
• Experience with Nix
• Ability to design observability systems from first principles
• Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at companies with strong SRE cultures (e.g., Google, Stripe, Replit)
• Background in fintech, healthtech, or other regulated domains
• Experience migrating monitoring systems or implementing SLOs
• Contributions to infrastructure tooling or open source projects
