Senior Simulation Engineer

PhysicsX is a deep-tech company with roots in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software. We are building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries.

Responsibilities

• Independently build complex electromagnetic models from the ground up for low-frequency and high-frequency applications
• Automate simulation pipelines to enable fast optimization and parametric design coupling
• Leverage cloud platforms and on-premises HPC to accelerate high-fidelity models
• Collaborate closely with customers to understand engineering challenges and solve them using simulation and AI
• Work at the intersection of CAE and data science to generate results for training Machine Learning models
• Mentor junior engineers within a collaborative team
• Travel to customer sites in the APAC area (average 3-4 weeks per quarter)

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of industry experience (post Masters or PhD) in a commercial environment
• Deep expertise in electromagnetic theory and simulation
• Proficiency in industry-standard EM simulation platforms (e.g., Ansys HFSS, Ansys Maxwell, CST Studio Suite, COMSOL, Altair FEKO, or Siemens Simcenter MAGNET)
• Experience in low-frequency (magnetostatics, motors, transformers) or high-frequency (antennas, radar, signal integrity) electromagnetics
• Ability to work in a hybrid office setting in Singapore

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding skills in Python and/or MATLAB
• Experience with PCB layout and signal integrity tools (Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or Ansys SIwave)
