Senior Shipper/Receiver

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise at loading docks or in the yard and enter items into the company system
• Communicate and follow up on any receiving discrepancies or problems
• Pack goods and complete shipping documentation according to specific requirements
• Coordinate outbound shipments and provide customers with packing and shipping quotes
• Monitor and initiate purchase requests for shipping, receiving, and packaging materials
• Operate and inspect transportation equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes
• Write detailed receiving and shipping reports and deliver merchandise to internal customers
• Inspect and clean shipping containers and perform related production clerk duties

Requirements

• DEC, DEP, or equivalent educational background
• 5 years of relevant experience in shipping and receiving
• Valid skills cards and ability to operate a forklift
• Proficiency in reading blueprints
• Ability to retrieve and enter data using VMS and other production databases
• Fluency in French; basic knowledge of English is an asset
• Manual dexterity and ability to perform physical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a controlled goods environment
• Previous experience in a high-tech or aerospace manufacturing setting
