Senior Security Engineer/ISSE

Responsibilities

• Document and manage security architectures for cloud environments including Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure
• Integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Assess and mitigate security risks specific to AI systems
• Ensure systems meet government security standards such as NIST 800-53 and DISA Impact Levels
• Develop and execute incident response plans and investigate security breaches
• Promote security awareness through training and best practice guidance
• Monitor emerging security threats and implement proactive mitigation measures

Requirements

• Knowledge of FedRAMP, DISA Impact Level 5, and NIST 800-53
• Experience with DISA Cloud Security Requirements Guide (SRG)
• Experience with Department of War (DoW) security stacks including VDMS, VDSS, and BCAP
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS, and SIEM tools
• Experience documenting system security posture and maintaining security plans
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and vulnerability assessments
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or Tenable
• Knowledge of AI/ML security assessment frameworks
• Experience with security automation, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or Professional Cloud Security Engineer
