Senior Security Engineer, Spam & Abuse

Responsibilities

• Develop Snapchat mobile security features to protect the platform
• Enumerate attack vectors on mobile applications, identify weaknesses, and provide technical solutions
• Build tools and services that support the broader Spam & Abuse mission
• Architect and deploy client-side defenses and infrastructure to handle large-scale traffic
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams requiring mobile security expertise
• Assist with Spam & Abuse or Security incidents as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 4+ years of experience in a security or software engineering role
• Proven track record of developing production-quality software
• Solid foundation in application security
• Strong ability to reason about mobile app security problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience with Android or iOS development
• Professional experience in backend development, preferably with Go
• Ability to write secure code in C/C++
• Experience working with large-scale spam and abuse defenses
• Skills in analyzing and organizing technical data
