Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, and maintain core SOC platforms including malware analysis, EDR/XDR, and email security
• Own EDR platform engineering, configuration, and operational health across the enterprise
• Enable high-fidelity detections through improved tooling, telemetry, and data quality
• Maintain malware detonation and analysis environments for safe, repeatable analysis
• Automate routine SOC operations, health checks, and deployments using PowerShell or Python
• Assess emerging attacker techniques and evaluate new security tools to address gaps

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 5–10+ years of experience in security engineering or advanced SOC technical roles
• Deep hands-on experience with EDR/XDR platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Defender, SentinelOne)
• Strong understanding of Windows internals and Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with PowerShell or Python
• Solid grasp of attacker TTPs mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating SOC platforms with SIEM, SOAR, or case management platforms
• Exposure to vulnerability management and scanning platforms
• Experience designing detection validation or purple-team style testing
• Relevant certifications such as GIAC, GREM, GCED, GCIA, or OSCP
