Senior Security Engineer, Platform Security

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve cloud security guardrails using SCPs, GCP org policies, and IAM controls
• Build automation to discover, measure, and contextualize security issues via CSPM/DSPM integrations
• Own the cloud security exception lifecycle and maintain associated tooling
• Partner with platform teams to eliminate categories of cloud security risk
• Develop risk-based prioritization through data pipelines and dashboards
• Respond to and triage cloud security alerts and support on-call rotations
• Produce scalable, high-quality software for a multi-cloud footprint
• Iterate in an AI-augmented development environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software or security engineer
• 4+ years of experience securing AWS and/or GCP infrastructure at scale
• Deep experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and Terraform
• Experience with CSPM tools like Wiz and DSPM concepts
• Strong understanding of AWS and GCP IAM (policies, roles, SCPs, service accounts)
• Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-faceted projects
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes security (EKS, GKE, pod/network policies)
• Familiarity with BI and data tools like Looker and Snowflake
• Experience building security exception or risk acceptance workflows
• Familiarity with cloud networking and segmentation strategies
• Experience supporting multi-business-unit organizations with diverse compliance needs
