Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions to protect government systems and critical infrastructure.
• Integrate and configure security controls in compliance with EU regulations and public sector standards.
• Monitor and investigate security events using SIEM tooling and perform security event analysis.
• Identify, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities through patching, system hardening, and cryptographic asset management.
• Ensure the resilience of systems across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Implement cybersecurity policies and controls aligned with GRC frameworks.
• Develop scripts and automation to enhance security monitoring and response capabilities.
• Produce technical documentation, risk assessments, and audit reports for stakeholders.

Requirements

• University Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or secure systems engineering.
• Proven expertise in security standards such as ISO 27001, NIS/NIS2, or GDPR.
• Strong knowledge of identity protocols including SSL/TLS, SAML, OAuth, and JWT.
• Solid understanding of cryptographic principles and algorithms like AES, GCM, and SHA-2.
• Advanced knowledge of network security (Fortigate, Imperva) and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and secure configuration practices.
• Experience securing large-scale, complex environments such as data centers or government systems.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
