Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the identity platform as infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, including SSO/SCIM integrations.
• Implement phishing-resistant authentication and device-trust enforcement using hardware security keys.
• Deploy, maintain, and tune endpoint detection and response (EDR) and secure MDM baselines.
• Automate joiner/mover/leaver and asset-lifecycle workflows by integrating HRIS and IT asset management systems.
• Design and maintain log-ingestion pipelines and develop detection-as-code capabilities via CI/CD.
• Design SOAR-driven automation to orchestrate identity, secrets management, and security tooling.
• Deploy enterprise security controls to meet compliance baselines such as NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.
• Ensure all security platforms and controls satisfy Canadian data-residency and sovereignty requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, or a related discipline.
• Deep expertise in Identity & Access Management (IdP, SSO/SCIM, phishing-resistant MFA).
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills, specifically with Terraform.
• Expertise in endpoint security, including EDR operations and MDM baseline design.
• Experience with SIEM/log-pipeline engineering and detection-as-code.
• Proficiency in security automation, SOAR, and scripting (Python or similar).
• Working knowledge of security frameworks like NIST SP 800-171 or CMMC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defence, government, or high-assurance regulated environments.
• Eligibility to obtain Canadian security clearance (Reliability or Secret).
• Experience securing GenAI/LLM systems and building AI-driven security automation.
• Exposure to OT, embedded, robotics, or autonomous-systems security.
• Relevant security certifications such as OSCP or GIAC.
