Senior Security Engineer, Detection and Response

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive security operations strategy aligned with organizational goals
• Design, implement, and fine-tune advanced detection mechanisms to identify security threats
• Perform forensics and lead response efforts during security incidents
• Author comprehensive runbooks and build SOAR capabilities to reduce manual intervention
• Manage security event monitoring, response workflows, and performance metrics
• Support ongoing security compliance, audit, and certification programs such as SOC 2 and HIPAA

Requirements

• 6+ years in cybersecurity focusing on detection, response, and automation
• Proficiency with on-premise and major cloud environments (GCP preferred)
• Experience with Detection as Code workflows and network security at scale
• Strong expertise in incident handling and forensic investigation
• Expertise in Python scripting and automation
• Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and Windows/Mac endpoint response
• Ability to pass a background check
