Senior Security Engineer, Detection and Response

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive security operations strategy
• Design, implement, and fine-tune advanced detection mechanisms
• Continuously tune alerting rules to reduce false positives
• Perform forensics and lead response efforts during security incidents
• Author comprehensive runbooks and build SOAR capabilities
• Support ongoing security compliance, audit, and certification programs

Requirements

• 6+ years in cybersecurity focusing on detection, response, and automation
• Proficiency with on-premise and major cloud environments (GCP preferred)
• Experience with network security at scale
• Experience implementing Detection as Code workflows
• Expertise in Python scripting and automation
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments
• Experience responding to incidents on Windows and Mac endpoints
• Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible
• Ability to pass a background check

• Experience integrating AI into response workflows
• Experience integrating threat intel into automated response workflows
• Experience building and scaling open source security observability solutions
