Senior Security & Alarm Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute installation of security systems including CCTV, access control, and IDS
• Interpret blueprints and update as-built documentation accurately
• Ensure all equipment and materials are staged and ready for installation
• Identify and resolve field modifications or scope gaps
• Verify compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in the low-voltage industry
• Strong focus on security systems (CCTV, access control, IDS)
• Experience programming and configuring access control systems
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Florida Fire Alarm License (FASA/BASA) or ability to obtain it
• Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record

Preferred Qualifications

• BS degree or Technical School Certification in electronics or security systems
• Manufacturer certifications for major security systems
• NICET certification for fire alarm systems
