Senior Scrum Master

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all core Scrum events and coach team members on the effective utilization of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Create a collaborative environment that encourages open dialogue and productive conflict resolution.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing and socializing sprint and team metrics.
• Partner with Product Owners to collaborate on product roadmaps and ensure the team understands project goals and scope.
• Guide the team through Agile project planning, commitment, and dependency tracking.
• Track, analyze, and report on key Agile metrics such as velocity and burndown to monitor team health.
• Identify and remove business and technical impediments to ensure smooth delivery.
• Lead by example as a servant-leader to influence a positive culture within the department and organization.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 8-12 years of experience in software development (including Dev, QA, or Project Management).
• At least 5 years of dedicated experience working within Agile frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Atlassian tools in a software development context.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and executive presence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I, PSM II, or RTE.
• SAFe certification.
• Advanced mastery of JIRA workflow and administration.
