About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead Molecular Dynamics (MD) and data-driven modeling initiatives to support sterile injectable drug product design.
- Partner with scientists to build mechanistic understanding of molecular interactions, material properties, and formulation behavior using MD, data models, and AI/ML.
- Integrate simulation outputs with data engineering frameworks, including trajectory data, feature extraction pipelines, and vector databases.
- Apply Generative AI (GenAI) to automate simulation setups, analyze MD outputs, and extract insights from scientific literature.
- Collaborate with global Sterile Injectable Design teams to apply molecular insights to formulation selection, process design, and stability risk assessment.
- Drive the adoption of advanced simulation and ML capabilities, including automated pipelines and scalable HPC/cloud workflows.
- Define short- and long-term objectives for MD, ML, and GenAI initiatives aligned with digital transformation goals.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant industrial or research experience, with a strong foundation in classical molecular dynamics and computational modeling.
- Hands-on experience with simulation packages such as GROMACS, OpenMM, LAMMPS, or NAMD.
- Proficiency in the Python-based ML/AI ecosystem, including NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience with HPC environments, GPU acceleration, and cloud computing platforms.
- Knowledge of quantum chemistry tools such as Gaussian or ORCA.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable scientific insights.
