Senior Scientist, Molecular Biology

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and construction of plasmid DNA constructs, including vector architecture and high-efficiency cloning workflows.
• Drive automated and computational sequence design using advanced tools for codon optimization and regulatory element tuning.
• Develop and implement scalable, high-throughput molecular biology processes and screening platforms.
• Own sequence analysis pipelines, variant analysis, and construct quality control.
• Mentor junior scientists and establish best practices in experimental design and data rigor.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with CMC and other R&D teams to provide designs, materials, and timelines.
• Establish a rigorous ELN environment including sample management and version-controlled sequence design.

Requirements

• PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience in Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, or Bioengineering.
• Deep expertise in molecular cloning, plasmid design, DNA construct engineering, and E. coli strain engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with automated sequence design tools and computational biology workflows.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for biological data analysis.
• Strong background in high-throughput and scalable molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with NGS data analysis and sequence validation pipelines.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor technical staff.
