Responsibilities
- Integrate human primary cell lines into robust monoculture and co-culture models for large batch production and high throughput readouts.
- Characterise and optimise multiplexed imaging and biochemical assays for functional phenotyping.
- Transition manually developed perturbation models into automated arrayed screens.
- Contribute to the development of new technologies, workflows, and operational infrastructure.
- Perform data analysis and implement quality assurance protocols.
- Communicate outcomes to cross-functional teams across biology, machine learning, and automation disciplines.
Requirements
- PhD with 5+ years of experience in assay development and/or target validation.
- Strong background in culturing primary and immortalised cell lines.
- Hands-on experience in high-content imaging and data interpretation using cell painting.
- Scientific knowledge of fibrosis across various tissues.
- Knowledge of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing in 2D and 3D cell systems.
- Prior experience running pathway-modifying perturbation screens.
- Experience with automated laboratory systems.
- Extensive knowledge in industry-standard large ‘omic dataset handling.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and matrixed biotech environment.
