Senior Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and execute complex experiments to support research, feasibility, and product development efforts.
• Lead technical and interdisciplinary teams to accomplish project goals and manage the work of team members.
• Analyze complex scientific data using statistical methods and prepare findings for peer groups, managers, and clients.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, prepare experimental procedures, and manage batch/test records.
• Troubleshoot and optimize experiments while communicating issues and solutions to management.
• Perform literature and market research to identify new research or product opportunities.
• Supervise direct reports by establishing performance goals, assigning accountabilities, and providing continuous feedback.
• Support the preparation of invention disclosures, patent applications, grant proposals, and scientific publications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of laboratory experience.
• Proven supervisory or management experience is required.
• Training and experience with BSL-2 techniques is required.
• Advanced knowledge in Statistics.
• Expertise in GraphPad Prism, MS Excel, and SharePoint.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and develop actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Additional postdoctoral or industrial research experience.
• Two years of immunoassay development experience in an industrial environment.
• A strong record of scientific publications.
