Senior Scientist, Membrane Protein Biochemistry

Responsibilities

• Design and implement state-of-the-art strategies for the recombinant production and purification of polytopic membrane protein targets
• Conduct laboratory experiments with rigorous documentation and a focus on high-quality deliverables
• Analyze and interpret scientific data to communicate results to diverse scientific audiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional scientists to plan methodological approaches, resources, timelines, and milestones
• Develop membrane protein platforms and capabilities to increase success rates in therapeutic discovery programs
• Mentor junior scientists and technical staff while advising on future technology development strategies

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant postdoctoral experience
• Master's degree with 3 years of relevant laboratory experience
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant laboratory experience
• Expertise with ÄKTA systems
• Proficiency in analytical methods including HPLC/UPLC (SEC, fSEC), spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record of scientific accomplishments such as peer-reviewed publications or patents
• Expertise in structural biology or the dissection of membrane protein molecular pharmacology
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
