Senior Scientist - Manufacturing Development

Responsibilities

• Drive complex manufacturing-development initiatives and define the technical roadmap for process robustness and assay performance
• Convert ambiguous manufacturing or assay requirements into structured experimental and validation plans using DoE and FMEA
• Design and develop robust QC strategies including in-process controls and lot-to-lot consistency
• Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations and collaborate across R&D, Operations, and Automation teams
• Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable technical recommendations for continuous improvement
• Mentor scientists and associates on experimental design, troubleshooting, and kit-manufacturing best practices

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s in bioengineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related field
• At least five years of industry experience in wet-lab environments
• Deep expertise in protein quantification and immunoassay methods (ELISA, flow cytometry, bead-based assays)
• Experience with QC under GMP/GLP standards and knowledge of genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics
• Proven ability to lead complex process development projects and technology transfers
• Hands-on experience with automation-enabled workflows and instrumentation (liquid handlers, plate readers)
• Proficiency in data analysis using Python or an equivalent language
• Strong English communication skills
