About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to project advancement by developing new methods, troubleshooting technical issues, and interpreting experimental data.
- Execute experiments based on project protocols and work toward independent project development.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate complex in vivo experiments and facilitate cross-functional efforts.
- Perform proper handling and care of mice, including general surgical techniques and the collection of blood and tissue samples.
- Develop and optimize disease mouse models and analyze pathologies using flow cytometry, histology, and ELISA.
- Develop and execute cell-based assays to screen candidate antibodies and perform ELISAs or MSDs to measure cytokine levels.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and manage supplies and reagents to ensure an efficient working environment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, or Cellular and Molecular Biology with 0-2+ years of post-Ph.D. experience.
- Extensive experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry, including panel design and data analysis.
- Experience with mouse models, surgical techniques, and the collection of biological samples.
- Proficiency in data analysis software such as GraphPad PRISM, Softmax Pro, or FlowJo.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a record of high-quality scientific publications.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-8 years of relevant research experience in immunology.
- Knowledge of allergic and inflammatory diseases, specifically regarding skin and/or lung biology.
- Experience developing primary cell assays to characterize cytokine and immunoreceptor pathways.
- Experience with HALO, DIVA software, or MSD.
