About the role
Responsibilities
- Translate computational protein designs into experimentally testable minibinders and antibodies across multiple targets
- Lead high-throughput workflows for binder expression, purification, and characterization
- Develop cellular assays for binder–target evaluation
- Partner with molecular biology teams to establish construct generation and binder library production workflows
- Develop strategies to format de novo binders into appropriate modalities, such as multispecifics
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to guide iterative design-build-test cycles
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant post-doc experience in protein design
- Master's degree with 3 years of protein engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of protein engineering experience
- Experience in protein expression and purification
- Proficiency in biochemical characterization and biophysical techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in binder hit validation using flow cytometry and SPR
- Experience with different expression hosts including cell-free, E. coli, and mammalian cells
- Knowledge of protein structure–function relationships and protein–protein interaction engineering
- Experience with automation platforms and high-throughput experimentation
- Experience supporting phenotypic screening, receptor biology, or early target characterization
- Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
