Senior Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead assay generation, design, development, and validation efforts for product development
• Provide technical guidance and supervision for Research Scientists and laboratory staff
• Collaborate with the VP of R&D to ensure project milestones and timelines are met
• Write verification/validation protocols, reports, and SOPs
• Maintain R&D laboratory resources including facilities, equipment, and reagents
• Develop expertise in immunoassays, molecular assays, and cell-based assays
• Coordinate assay transition from R&D phase to clinical use
• Implement quality systems and quality assurance within diagnostic development
• Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and poster presentations for scientific meetings

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in assay development, validation, and clinical transition
• Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in microbiology, immunology, biology, biochemistry, or related field
• Expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, genomics, or immunology assay development
• Strong technical writing skills for protocols, reports, and manuscripts
• Experience with quality systems and regulatory guidelines
• Proven leadership and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in assay development and clinical transition
• Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of organizational strategy
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and matrixed teams
• Proven success in problem-solving and managing tight deadlines
