About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D, Commercial, and cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product development opportunities.
- Design and lead laboratory-scale development and process optimization to achieve desired quality and performance.
- Develop and scale processing methods from lab through pilot stages to enable efficient technology transfer.
- Develop and apply analytical methods to characterize products and assess quality.
- Lead product characterization efforts, including shelf-life studies and specification development.
- Design and support the implementation of preservation strategies and packaging solutions.
- Identify intellectual property opportunities and prepare invention disclosures.
- Act as a technical liaison for Business Development and Sales during customer engagements.
- Maintain detailed documentation and prepare reports to support regulatory submissions and manufacturing transfer.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in R&D and/or QC laboratories.
- 5+ years of experience in Product R&D and technical support for Business Development and Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques and familiarity with oil chemistry.
- Experience with analytical instruments including Karl Fisher, Titration, Rancimat, laser diffraction, rheometers, and viscometers.
- Proven experience in developing, validating, and documenting analytical methods.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data management and statistical analysis.
- Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams and independently.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 5-10%).
