Senior Scientist, Computational Biology

Responsibilities

• Deliver biological insights into cellular networks, patient biomarkers, and iPSC-based physiological models
• Write and deploy high-performance code and pipelines for large-scale computation
• Integrate closely with stem cell and biology teams on experimental design, hypothesis generation, and data analysis
• Identify relevant external datasets and new opportunities for internal data generation
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship on statistics and computation to junior data scientists and biology teams
• Communicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics
• 5+ years of industry experience analyzing high-dimensional datasets
• Demonstrated expertise in computation and biology supported by publications or presentations
• Proficiency in a relevant programming language such as Python or R, supported by a public GitHub repository
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of quantitative genetics in human or model organisms
• Experience developing novel models, algorithms, or software implementations
