Senior Scientist, Computational Biology

Responsibilities

• Develop computational biology pipelines using cloud technologies like Dagster and Nextflow
• Design, analyze, and interpret multi-omics technologies focused on gene writing systems
• Develop computational methods to understand and model gene writing events
• Process, analyze, and interpret data from research and preclinical projects to develop hypotheses
• Collaborate with experimental scientists to ensure data utility for high-level impact
• Present scientific findings to senior leadership to drive program decision making

Requirements

• PhD with 5+ years of experience, MS with 10+ years, or BS with 12+ years of experience
• Broad knowledge of genome editing technologies and off-target discovery assays (WGS, targeted sequencing, GUIDE-seq, Digenome-seq)
• Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting NGS analysis pipelines in cloud environments
• Experience with workflow tools such as Nextflow or Dagster
• Proficiency with AWS/cloud computing, version control, and software development best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD and unit testing
• Ability to use AI agents for work
