About the role
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and propose therapeutic targets for the treatment of bone disease and cardiometabolic disease
- Design and perform in vitro and in vivo experiments to advance drug discovery programs
- Independently perform data analysis and interpret complex scientific results
- Communicate scientific findings through written reports and oral presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic candidates
- Document all studies in electronic laboratory notebooks and formal study reports
- Provide scientific expertise and advice to colleagues within the department
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, or MD (relevant post-doc preferred where applicable)
- Experience in bone metabolism and bone disease
- Proficiency in in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies
- Strong skills in molecular biology techniques and data analysis
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Postdoctoral experience in bone metabolism and metabolic disease, ideally in an industry setting
- Technical mastery of cell-signaling analysis techniques including immunoblotting, RT-qPCR, and ELISA
- Experience with human genetics and genomic data mining for target identification
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality manuscripts and presentations for peer-reviewed publication
- Strong commitment to data reproducibility and integrity
