Senior Scientist, Cardiac Modeling

Responsibilities

• Lead the generation, characterization, and maintenance of iPSC lines and their differentiation into cardiomyocytes
• Design, implement, and optimize iPSC-CM assays in both 2D monolayer and 3D/engineered heart tissue (EHT) formats
• Build and apply isogenic iPSC-CM disease models using CRISPR-edited lines
• Develop functional readouts including contractility, electrophysiology, and calcium handling
• Partner with ML and computational biology teams to design experiments for high-quality training data
• Mentor junior scientists and technicians

Requirements

• Ph.D. in cell biology, biomedical engineering, cardiac physiology, or a related field
• At least 3 years of industry experience
• Deep hands-on experience in iPSC culture and cardiac directed differentiation
• Experience with 2D and 3D/EHT platforms
• Track record of building genetic iPSC-CM disease models
• Experience with high-content imaging and automated microscopy
• Familiarity with GWAS and human genetic evidence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using human genetic data to prioritize disease mechanisms
• Ability to work fluidly across biology, computation, and chemistry disciplines
