About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze complex in vitro and ex vivo experiments to support discovery and preclinical research programs.
- Lead and perform multi-parameter flow cytometry assays, including panel design, optimization, and data interpretation.
- Perform and optimize cell isolation and cell sorting (e.g., FACS, MACS) from various tissues and biological samples.
- Execute in vivo mouse studies, including disease model development, dosing, tissue collection, and phenotypic characterization.
- Develop and apply siRNA-based approaches for target validation and mechanistic studies.
- Design and perform microscopy-based experiments, including fluorescence, confocal, and live-cell imaging.
- Analyze and present experimental findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a collaborative, innovative research environment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience (or an M.S. with substantial industry experience).
- Strong expertise in flow cytometry and cell sorting (FACS), including panel design and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience with in vivo mouse models and in vitro experimental techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in siRNA design, delivery, and functional validation.
- Hands-on experience with microscopy platforms (fluorescence, confocal, or high-content imaging).
- Strong quantitative data analysis and statistical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in translational research, drug discovery, or preclinical therapeutic development.
- Experience with single-cell or spatial biology technologies (e.g., scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics).
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, Western blotting, or ELISA.
- Experience managing CROs or external academic collaborators.
- Proficiency with image analysis software like ImageJ, CellProfiler, or Imaris.
