Senior Scientist, Biologics Engineering

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, engineering, and optimization of bispecific and multispecific antibody formats.
• Apply structure-guided protein engineering to improve potency, breadth, stability, and developability of antiviral antibodies.
• Integrate AI/ML-driven protein engineering tools, such as protein language models and in silico design, into discovery workflows.
• Design and execute experiments involving molecular biology, cloning, protein expression, and purification.
• Perform biochemical and biophysical characterization of therapeutic candidates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in structural biology, virology, and computational sciences.
• Contribute to scientific publications, patent filings, and internal/external presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, OR Master's Degree with 6 years of experience, OR a Ph.D. in a related discipline.
• Expertise in antibody engineering.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with protein purification and characterization methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Protein Engineering, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, or Immunology with postdoctoral experience and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience in engineering bispecific or multispecific formats, specifically for broadly neutralizing anti-HIV-1 antibodies.
• Experience in antiviral or infectious disease antibody discovery.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in protein engineering, including sequence-to-structure modeling.
• Strong track record of scientific achievement through publications, patents, or drug candidate advancement.
