Relation is a sector-defining TechBio company developing transformational medicines. We leverage single-cell multi-omics, functional assays, and machine learning to understand human biology and discover therapies for devastating diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and optimize antibody molecules using experimental data to guide scientific decisions
  • Drive biologics programs end-to-end from target validation through lead characterization and developability triage
  • Make informed modality decisions across antibodies, bispecifics, ADCs, and fusion proteins
  • Design discovery packages combining cell-based functional assays and biophysical characterization (SPR/Biacore, BLI/Octet)
  • Partner with Computational Biology and Machine Learning teams to integrate predictive and generative approaches into discovery workflows
  • Manage external collaborators and CROs, contributing to study design and data review
  • Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the broader scientific identity of the biologics group

Requirements

  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, Protein Engineering, or a related life-science discipline
  • Hands-on drug discovery experience in a pharma or biotech setting
  • Proven track record in biologics programs (target validation, hit-to-lead, lead optimization)
  • Deep knowledge of biologics modalities and discovery cascades
  • Experience with cell-based functional assays and biophysical characterization
  • Experience managing CROs for molecule production and in vitro/in vivo studies
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with bone biology and bone-microenvironment models
  • Peer-reviewed publications in the biologics drug discovery space
  • Experience in a TechBio or computationally-driven discovery environment
