Senior Scientist, Biologics Cell Line Development

Responsibilities

• Perform CHO cell line development processes including transfection, cloning, characterization, and cell banking
• Drive innovation through development of improved genetic components, host cell line engineering, and process optimization
• Identify emerging practices for biologics cell line development and manufacturing to shape scientific strategies
• Represent the cell line development team on cross-functional projects and communicate results and plans
• Contribute to industry conferences, forums, patent filings, and peer-reviewed manuscripts
• Manage and mentor a team of 3+ scientists, providing technical direction and professional development support

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biological Engineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
• 5+ years of CHO-based cell line development experience expressing IgGs and bispecifics in an industrial environment
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing direct reports and providing technical guidance
• Creative problem-solving skills and a drive for disruptive technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vector optimization for complex bispecific scaffolds
• Experience with CLD process optimization
• Experience with development of automated high-throughput screening for CLD workflows
• Experience working with a global customer base
