About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical strategies to support pharmaceutical drug substance and drug product development across all phases.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties.
- Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods and design stability studies for shelf life assignments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges and present data at team meetings.
- Author relevant sections of global regulatory submissions and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Mentor peers and guide team members through technical activities and lab work.
- Evaluate new instrumentation and analytical techniques to improve development processes.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or a related field with 0-3 years of relevant industrial experience, OR an MS in Analytical Chemistry or a related field with 7-8 years of experience.
- Proficiency in a wide variety of methodologies including chromatography, dissolution, IR/Raman spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, particle size analysis, and NMR.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and meet timelines with minimal supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including data visualization and report drafting.
- Proven ability to learn new techniques and solve complex analytical problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Prior experience with the analysis of peptide therapeutics or trace level impurity analysis.
- Understanding of global regulatory submission processes.
- Familiarity with separation technologies such as liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, or SFC.
- Experience using industry software such as LIMS, Chromatographic Software, Veeva, or electronic notebooks.
- Ability to use computational predictive tools, modeling software, or data visualization tools.
